Case Study: New America strengthens cybersecurity and simplifies credential management with Dashlane

A Dashlane Case Study

How New America Went from Cyber Vulnerable to Vigilant

New America, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit think tank, needed a better way to protect highly sensitive and politically charged information while supporting a hybrid workforce with fluctuating staff and interns. Before adopting Dashlane, leadership stored passwords in Google Sheets and shared them with assistants, creating security risks for travel and everyday access. Some employees were also managing nearly 200 credentials, making manual password management impractical.

Dashlane provided New America with a credential management solution that included secure password storage and sharing, 2FA, Secure Notes, Dark Web Monitoring, a mobile app, and a VPN for safer access on the go. New America rolled out 100 licenses and integrated Dashlane into onboarding, improving oversight, simplifying offboarding, and making audits easier. With Dashlane’s Site License Program, the organization also gained flexible scaling and predictable IT costs, helping it answer cybersecurity questions with confidence and better differentiate itself when seeking funding.
