White Rose CCS Public Consultation for the FEED Studies

The White Rose CCS Project, a proposed 448 MW oxy‑fuel coal‑fired power plant at Drax Power Station, faced extensive public consultation requirements during its FEED studies and needed an accurate, reliable, auditable way to record stakeholder engagement. To meet rising legislative and community expectations, the project team selected Darzin Software and its stakeholder engagement platform to centralize and manage all consultation activity.

Darzin Software implemented a central system that maintained contact details for over 1,000 stakeholders, embedded online feedback questionnaires on the project website (eliminating manual data entry), recorded all public and technical consultee interactions, and provided qualitative, quantitative and spatial analysis. The platform automatically generated statistical outputs and 50+ report templates for FEED submissions, was used by environmental, planning and legal advisors, and materially reduced costly professional time while supporting the three rounds of public consultation (first exhibition: 112 sign‑ins, 81 returned questionnaires).
