Vattenfall Public Consultation for Norfolk Vanguard Wind Farm

Vattenfall, one of Europe’s largest electricity producers, needed to run a large-scale public consultation for the Norfolk Vanguard offshore wind project — a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project — and to capture and manage stakeholder feedback efficiently across multiple events and channels. To handle this challenge Vattenfall implemented Darzin Software’s Darzin platform in 2016 to coordinate both non-statutory and statutory engagement and to centralise consultation data.

Darzin Software provided online and event-based feedback and registration forms (including an embedded form on Vattenfall’s website), captured phone, email and face‑to‑face inputs, and generated automatic quantitative reports to reveal trends. Using Darzin, Vattenfall logged 780 attendees at the first drop-in phase and 105 completed feedback forms, streamlined reporting for subsequent events, and fed stakeholder insights directly into project design and decision-making — improving traceability and efficiency in the consultation process.
