TEAM2100 Long-term Public Consultation on Tidal Flood Defences

TEAM2100 is the UK Environment Agency’s 10-year, £300m programme to refurbish tidal flood defences for London and the Thames estuary, protecting 1.25 million people and significant property value. The expanding project team had been managing stakeholder and consultation data in Excel spreadsheets, which proved inadequate for long-term public consultation. In 2016 Darzin Software was engaged to provide its Darzin stakeholder-management system to centralise and manage stakeholder interactions and consultation data.

Darzin Software imported all existing spreadsheet data and provided a single database to track each flood asset, surrounding residents and stakeholders, engagement activities, communications with landowners, consents and related actions. Team members use Darzin to input data and generate reports from single properties up to programme-wide summaries; as a result Darzin Software enabled consistent, long-term record-keeping and reporting across changing teams, improving the viability and continuity of the TEAM2100 public consultation process.
