TANAP Consultation and Grievance Management for a Mega Pipeline

TANAP, the Trans‑Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline project, is an 1,850 km mega‑infrastructure crossing 20 provinces in Turkey, requiring extensive community consultation and robust grievance management through planning and construction. To capture, analyse and report stakeholder engagement and grievance data (including land acquisition and social/environmental issues), TANAP used Darzin Software’s Darzin stakeholder engagement and grievance management platform.

Darzin Software implemented the Darzin system across TANAP and licensed it to all four construction contractors so stakeholder records, consultations and grievances could be shared and reported consistently. The platform documented and analysed feedback from over 4,000 stakeholders during the ESIA, supported grievance handling through the construction phase (including Version 5 training for contractors), and delivered improved coordination, unified reporting and more effective grievance management for TANAP.
