Shell engaged Timah Consulting to undertake a stakeholder baseline and emergency response planning exercise for the Parque das Conchas (BC-10) project and needed a way to capture and manage complex community and organisational data. To support this, Shell used Darzin Software’s stakeholder data management tool, Darzin, as the central platform for collecting and organising information about fishing communities, local businesses, NGOs and other stakeholders within the project’s area of influence.

Darzin Software’s solution centralised all interview data and interactions, enabled topic-based classification and reporting, and allowed Timah to add over 20 custom fields tailored to Shell’s needs. The database captured inputs from 56 fishing communities across 14 municipalities, producing a searchable, continuously updated knowledge base that informed Shell’s engagement strategy and oil-spill emergency response plan and will serve as a lasting asset for onboarding and decision-making.
