Case Study: Airds Bradbury Renewal Project wins award-winning community engagement with Darzin Software

A Darzin Software Case Study

Preview of the Airds Bradbury Renewal Project Case Study

IAP2 International Project of the Year

The Airds Bradbury Renewal Project, a public housing renewal initiative in a seriously disadvantaged area of Sydney, faced significant challenges in community disengagement. A deep distrust of government, social isolation, and a sense of powerlessness among residents created a major barrier to the project's success. To overcome this and ensure the renewal was resident-owned, the project team partnered with Darzin Software, utilizing its platform to manage and analyze stakeholder engagement data.

Darzin Software provided the solution by enabling the team to integrate and qualitatively analyze data from a range of innovative engagement activities, including large-scale community celebrations and participatory design workshops. This use of Darzin's platform helped make sense of extensive community feedback and track how resident input directly influenced the master plan. The result was an unprecedented level of genuine engagement that built trust and goodwill, leading to several resident-led initiatives like community markets and a produce co-op being established, even before the master plan was finalized.
