Effective Stakeholder Management at QLD Mental Health Commission

The Queensland Mental Health Commission (QMHC) needed an effective way to manage and coordinate a broad range of stakeholders across community, government and industry to drive integrated, evidence-based mental health and substance‑use system reform under the Mental Health Act 2013. To address this, QMHC implemented Darzin Software’s stakeholder database in August 2013 as a central system to consolidate contact records, interactions and engagement events.

Darzin Software provided a single, accessible stakeholder engagement system that records communications, registers consultation events and mail-outs, and lets staff pull targeted stakeholder lists for projects. As a result, Darzin Software streamlined stakeholder management across the Commission, improved visibility of past engagements, supported more targeted consultations and mailings, and helped QMHC track and report issues and feedback to inform key reforms such as the Queensland Mental Health and Drug Strategic Plan.
