Barwon Water Alliance (an alliance of Barwon Water, GHD and John Holland) delivered the most ambitious capital works program in Barwon Water’s history—more than 120 projects worth AUS$375 million over five years—which created a major challenge in managing stakeholder engagement data consistently across many teams, projects and communication channels. To address this, Darzin Software was brought in to provide a central stakeholder engagement management system to capture and coordinate consultation, contacts and communications across the alliance.

Darzin Software implemented a single, shared stakeholder management system across the program, supporting 129 water, sewerage and recycled water projects and integrating multiple engagement channels (forums, newsletters, hotlines, door knocks, etc.). The solution gave alliance partners and Barwon Water up-to-date contact records, consistent reporting and easy information sharing, and Darzin’s license and full engagement history were handed to Barwon Water at program close so the organisation could continue building on the captured knowledge—delivering measurable continuity, clearer reporting and improved stakeholder management across the company.
