Aldi UK Public Consultation on Development Projects

Aldi UK, pursuing an ambitious UK investment and development programme, needed an efficient way to manage public consultation and planning submissions for new store sites. To run consultations, collect feedback and manage responses for planning applications, Aldi UK worked with Darzin Software, using Darzin to administer feedback forms both online and in hard copy and to centralize submissions management.

Darzin Software created and hosted the consultation feedback form, captured nearly 200 feedback forms and about 300 reply cards, and analysed the responses for inclusion in Aldi UK’s planning application for a Stanley, County Durham store. The consultation managed through Darzin Software contributed to planning approval in February 2017 and the creation of 30 local jobs, demonstrating clear, measurable impact on the development process.
