Owens Community College Manages Across Silos with Daptiv PPM

Owens Community College, a two-campus public institution serving over 45,000 credit and non-credit students, faced fragmented project management after replacing Microsoft Project Server and relying on spreadsheet-based tools. With hundreds of active grants, multiple vendor contracts and cross-department initiatives like AQIP, the college needed a way to break down silos, improve visibility and streamline reporting and task tracking across departments.

The college implemented Daptiv PPM with onsite training, using it to assign tasks, auto-generate reports, create project request forms and build Dynamic Applications to track project mandates. The result was faster, more unified execution—reporting time fell dramatically (up to 80% less time generating and communicating reports, and 50% less time updating status), communication improved across departments, smaller projects were surfaced and prioritized, and the platform is now being explored for campus build-outs and other uses.
