A Daptiv Case Study
Katcon, a global supplier of catalytic converters and exhaust systems with manufacturing sites in Mexico and Venezuela and recent acquisitions spanning multiple countries, needed better control of its engineering workload. The company lacked clear visibility into individual tasks, time spent and resource allocation; existing tools (BEN/MS Project) were cumbersome, didn’t support easy reporting or dashboards, and the CEO required a fast, low-training implementation.
Katcon implemented Daptiv PPM with local partner IMR, using automated project requests, weekly forecasting and resource reallocation to manage product development workflows. The change delivered immediate insight—raising visibility to 100%—cut meeting time by 50%, improved global collaboration, and allowed Katcon to shift resources to reduce development costs; the company now plans to roll the solution out to QA, Manufacturing and R&D.
