Department of Agriculture and Food of Western Australia Selects Daptiv PPM to Improve Project Management Practices and Results

The Western Australian Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA), a large state agency with more than 1,400 staff across 80 locations, needed a flexible, affordable project-management solution that would support its PMBOK-based processes and Goal Oriented Project Planning, capture complex Logical Framework (LogFrame) matrices, and produce usable, comparative reports without burdening IT. Their existing in‑house tool couldn’t deliver consistent statewide use or the reporting required, so DAFWA sought an on‑demand system that could be deployed quickly and adapted to their planning framework.

DAFWA selected Daptiv PPM (implemented with reseller Bluenova), creating Dynamic Applications to map their LogFrame and using Daptiv Advanced Report Builder for multi‑dimensional reporting. The logical framework was rolled out department‑wide with training and project management modules are being phased in; about 130 managers now use the system. The deployment improved reporting and visibility, reduced IT overhead, proved cost‑effective versus installed software, and acted as a strong catalyst for better project management practices and ongoing expansion.
