A Damstra Technology Case Study

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)–Worker Safety

SPCA Canterbury, a New Zealand-based animal welfare organization, needed to improve safety for its staff and volunteers. Their challenges included a lack of worker engagement with outdated safety materials, difficulties in managing risks for lone workers, and the need for a single, easy-to-use reporting system for all locations. They partnered with Damstra Technology to implement its Safety application to address these issues.

The Damstra solution provided a comprehensive platform with modules for governance, risk, and compliance. This enabled real-time hazard reporting, increased visibility for the board, and fostered a stronger safety culture. As a result, the SPCA significantly improved safety management and increased worker engagement, with staff feeling more protected and connected. The CEO confirmed that Damstra allowed them to bring health and safety to life in an interactive way.
