Stephensons wanted to support a career-changer into the legal profession, and turned to Damar Limited’s apprenticeship training to help Carley Raikes become a Paralegal Apprentice. Carley joined the firm in February 2019 while balancing work, family responsibilities, and the demands of studying alongside her role in the clinical negligence department.

With Damar Limited’s training and Stephensons’ internal support, Carley completed her studies, including further maths and English courses, while gaining practical experience alongside nine solicitors. The results were strong: she completed all four functional skills exams within her first six months, adapted from retail into an office environment, and was later training others within a year, earning Apprentice of the Month in May 2020.
