Michelmores, a law firm, sought to develop new career paths and attract talent to its business without the requirement of a university degree. To achieve this, they reviewed their existing apprenticeship program in 2017 and partnered with vendor Damar Limited to implement a suite of legal apprenticeships funded by the levy.

Damar worked with Michelmores to shape their legal apprenticeship program, providing ongoing support to navigate issues. The solution successfully trained 29 apprentices across various legal specializations. The results include creating a pipeline of home-grown talent, with many apprentices progressing into new roles and some now on a path to become qualified lawyers, demonstrating the program's significant impact on career development.
