Vermillion, an independent pre-media service provider in Leeds producing about 30,000 mail-order pages a year with a 14‑person team, needed scalable, color‑accurate proofing and reliable job‑tracking to handle high volumes for clients such as Freemans and Grattan. A long‑time customer of DALIM SOFTWARE, Vermillion had been using PRINTEMPO and added the DIALOGUE Engine for soft‑proofing, but faced the challenge of updating servers and migrating legacy PRINTEMPO/TWIST workflows to the new ES platform without disrupting client service.

Working with DALIM SOFTWARE and systems integrator LGS, Vermillion installed a new server, replicated its PRINTEMPO/TWIST workflows in DALIM SOFTWARE’s ES and completed migration in December 2014. ES’s web‑based interface and ePublication features let clients review, annotate and approve pages 24/7 from any device, improved stability and usability, and preserved Vermillion’s milestone file‑naming to minimise disruption. The result was a more efficient production flow—supporting 30,000 pages/year with around 50% of work not requiring contract proofs—faster remote approvals and robust continuity (the ES server remained intact during Storm Eva).
