Mondadori France, publisher of more than 30 magazines including Grazia, Pleine Vie and Auto Plus, needed to internalize and better control its photoengraving and flat-planning workflows while maintaining the service quality editors received from external suppliers. To provide production monitoring, a unified thumbnail/flat-plan tool and to support mixed internal/external workflows, Mondadori France selected ES from DALIM SOFTWARE as the most robust market solution and a familiar reference for its external partners.

DALIM SOFTWARE implemented ES with a reproducible technical deployment process, piloting the system on Sciences & Vie Découvertes and then rolling it out title by title; about ten titles are already live. The ES deployment centralized production, improved traceability of corrections, sped up training, and eliminated manual FTP transfers by automating PDF delivery to the printer—delivering significant time savings multiplied across titles—while giving Mondadori France greater flexibility and the ability to internalize flat planning. DALIM SOFTWARE is also working with Mondadori France on API integration between ES and their plurimedia editorial tool.
