Findel Education Resources, the UK’s leading supplier of educational resources, faced a major challenge producing multiple 1,600‑page, differently branded catalogues from largely shared content: versioning was labour‑intensive, error‑prone and required substantial overtime and freelance help. To meet tighter deadlines and an 80% cut in additional production budget, Findel turned to DALIM SOFTWARE’s TWIST (with systems integrator LGS TPI) to explore automation of multi‑version catalogue production.

LGS TPI built a web interface to the production database and used DALIM SOFTWARE’s TWIST to automatically generate branded page “furniture,” variable pricing and separate Pantone channels for quick checking, producing a single 3,500‑page virtual book and then the branded outputs. The solution created more than 60,000 print PDFs on schedule, saved over 15,500 artworker hours, eliminated catalogue errors, helped Findel win four customer service awards and allowed more flexible, responsive publishing — all delivered using DALIM SOFTWARE’s TWIST.
