The Council of Europe’s Service for the Production of Documents and Publications (SPDP) — a team of 80 employees (35 in the prepress-printing section) — faced a cumbersome, internally built 2003 workflow that lacked ergonomics, unified document management and efficient collaboration, relying on emails, USBs and paper proofs. To address these challenges they selected DALIM SOFTWARE and its DALIM ES product to modernize document, administrative and resource management.

DALIM SOFTWARE implemented DALIM ES to centralize all files in a single database, provide annotation/versioning, group-based access and an extranet for external proofreaders and printers. The solution delivered immediate time savings (fewer return trips for proofs and faster file validation), improved service quality and coverage during absences, streamlined collaboration with suppliers, and enabled new capabilities such as transparent resource planning and re‑invoicing of internal prepress work.
