DL Imaging, a London-based specialist in digital repro and colour management for fine art books and museum/catalogue publishing, needed to scale production of very large, complex hardback titles while improving collaboration and reducing errors. Working with DALIM SOFTWARE, DL Imaging replaced its older MISTRAL system with DALIM’s ES platform (alongside TWIST and DIALOGUE Engine) and required a fast, zero-downtime migration so live production could continue uninterrupted.

DALIM SOFTWARE’s ES was configured to automate pre-flighting, generate printer-tailored print-ready PDFs, low-res review files and ePub/HTML5 outputs, and to drive soft-proofing, branded client portals and custom user actions for frequent tasks. The result: DL Imaging now manages some 230 titles (including 700‑page catalogues), handles books up to and beyond 1,000 pages without slowdown, reports “hardly any user errors,” faster client approvals via HTML5 3D soft-proofs, and smoother collaborative workflows for clients such as Touchline.
