Continental Web to connect DaliM DialoGUe to its new Goss Web press

Continental Web Press faced inconsistent color proofs as it expanded capacity with a new Goss Sunday M3000 WIDE BODY web press at its Walton, Kentucky plant. To ensure reliable, SWOP‑standard color on press and streamline prepress checks, the company adopted DALIM SOFTWARE’s DALiM DiALOGUE monitor‑based proofing system across its workflow.

DALIM SOFTWARE implemented DALiM DiALOGUE in prepress and directly on the press, using an Apple G5 workstation with two 30‑inch color‑corrected monitors and tabbed A/B comparison to view sides simultaneously. The closed‑loop setup has eliminated much of the proof variability, delivers more accurate paper profiles than inkjet proofers, and is already used for 40% of CWP’s work (a figure that continues to grow), improving color consistency and pressroom efficiency.
