Case Study: CHRISTIES achieves faster, colour-accurate auction catalogue production with DALIM SOFTWARE

A DALIM SOFTWARE Case Study

Preview of the CHRISTIES Case Study

Christies unites the two in its international publishing operation

CHRISTIES, the global auction house founded in 1766, faced the challenge of producing press-quality, colour-accurate catalogues at very high volume — over 600 auctions a year, roughly 80,000 catalogue pages and more than two million printed catalogues annually. Their existing workflow was costly and inflexible, so CHRISTIES selected DALIM SOFTWARE’s DALiM TWiST to provide a scalable, automated system capable of generating colour-managed, print-ready PDFs and integrating with their asset management and file-distribution tools.

DALIM SOFTWARE’s DALiM TWiST was deployed in New York and replicated in London, integrated with Xinet WebNative DAM and GroupLogic MassTransit (with integration partners Turning Point Innovation and IO Integration). The new solution delivered faster job turnaround, consistently high FOGRA 39 colour-managed PDFs, improved reliability, reduced errors, and considerable cost and staffing efficiencies — with ROI achieved in less than the planned two years.
