A DALIM SOFTWARE Case Study
Caffè Nero, the Europe-based coffee‑house group with over 600 stores, faced growing difficulties managing and distributing its point‑of‑sale, branding and online imagery from its Covent Garden HQ. Stores were using low‑resolution previews from a shared drive, requesting large files that were copied to physical media, and HQ had limited visibility or version control — creating delays, extra staff overhead and the risk of stores using outdated creative. To solve this, Caffè Nero selected the DAM functionality of ES from DALIM SOFTWARE.
DALIM SOFTWARE, working via systems house IQ Integration, installed ES 4 at the end of March 2016 and began tagging roughly 2,000 image assets in April, creating a single, central source of truth with web‑based previews, controlled download rights and an approve/authorize release workflow. The DALIM ES implementation has given Caffè Nero improved version control, clearer governance over usage and easier distribution of approved assets (with support for JPEG, TIFF, PSD and video), reduced ad‑hoc physical transfers, and a measurable start to asset tracking and compliance; an ES 5 upgrade and wider store rollout are planned.
