Case Study: ADAC transforms MotorWelt into an upscale quarterly lifestyle magazine and streamlines production with DALIM SOFTWARE (DALIM ES)

A DALIM SOFTWARE Case Study

Preview of the ADAC Case Study

A meticulously planned lifestyle magazine

ADAC faced a major transformation of its 95‑year‑old MotorWelt magazine: moving from ten issues with over 13 million copies to a quarterly, upscale coffee‑table format of about 5 million copies and a new distribution model (320 ADAC branches and ~9,000 supermarket outlets). The relaunch required tight coordination of editorial repositioning, design and production across multiple partners (BCN, Burda Druck, Storyboard) and a robust approval/workflow tool, so ADAC adopted DALIM SOFTWARE’s cloud solution DALIM ES to manage assets, reviews and approvals across locations.

DALIM SOFTWARE implemented DALIM ES as a central digital‑asset and workflow platform, providing a shared database for texts, images and layouts, versioning, commenting and a traffic‑light approval view to streamline collaboration and long lead‑time planning. The new MotorWelt launched on March 5, 2020, received a “super” rating from test readers, attracted interest from major advertisers (including a large German premium manufacturer) and now prints about 5 million copies—outcomes ADAC attributes in part to the simplified production and approval process enabled by DALIM SOFTWARE.
