WION, a new global English news network from Zee Media Corporation, sought a technological backbone to support its international launch and enable its journalists to deliver news from anywhere to any platform. To achieve its "digital first" philosophy, WION partnered with Dalet to implement its Unified News Operations solution, powered by the Dalet Galaxy platform, to unify its newsroom and streamline its multi-platform content production.
Dalet implemented an end-to-end workflow for WION, using Dalet Galaxy for orchestration and asset management, Dalet Brio for ingest and playout, and mobile tools like Dalet On-the-Go for journalists in the field. This agile and integrated solution accelerated time to air, enabled seamless collaboration across 37 global bureaus, and supported simultaneous publication to digital and TV platforms. The entire Dalet system was deployed and on air within just a few weeks of signing the contract.
