The Italian national broadcaster, RAI TV, required a cost-effective, end-to-end news production and playout solution for 18 of its autonomous regional sites. Each location needed standalone capabilities for local news broadcasts while also having the potential to share content. RAI selected the Dalet News Pack from vendor Dalet to meet this challenge.

Dalet implemented its News Pack solution, a preconfigured package of hardware and software built around the Dalet Brio server for ingest and playout. This provided each regional site with a complete, integrated workflow, from news production to broadcasting. The solution ensured operational autonomy for each site while its built-in media asset management platform allowed for easy content sharing across the entire RAI network.
