Mediaset, Italy's largest commercial broadcaster, faced the challenge of transitioning from inefficient, tape-based workflows across its siloed news channels to a unified, file-based system. To produce more content faster for more outlets, they partnered with vendor Dalet to implement the Dalet Galaxy media asset management (MAM) platform as a central solution.

The Dalet solution unified editorial planning across three channels onto a single database, streamlining ingest, production, and archiving. This allowed Mediaset to increase content production by three times and grow content distribution by tenfold. Furthermore, the scalable system enabled the seamless addition of a brand new 24/7 news channel with minimal additional staff, demonstrating significant operational transformation.
