Case Study: Magna Housing Group achieves centralised IT, VoIP and improved efficiency with Daisy Group

Magna, a group of housing organisations managing over 9,000 affordable homes across the south west of England, needed to centralise IT across multiple regional offices, improve efficiency and deploy a network capable of running VoIP. To address these challenges Magna engaged Daisy to replace older disparate connections and implement a modern MPLS-based WAN and VoIP-ready infrastructure.

Daisy installed an MPLS network linking main sites via ethernet into a private MPLS cloud with a central internet breakout, plus ADSL/VPN links for smaller sites, and enabled QoS with three service tiers (20% premium, 30% enhanced, 50% standard). As a result, Magna has centralised all IT services to its Dorchester office, fully activated a VoIP phone system, improved network speed and management, and reports clearer, more efficient cross-site working and measurable QoS allocations delivered by Daisy.
