A Daisy Group Case Study
The Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, which serves over 728,000 people across more than 1,400 square miles, faced poor connectivity between its central office and satellite sites and an outdated telephony system that didn’t support staff working across multiple locations or from home. After a competitive tender, Daisy was chosen to deliver a cost-effective communications upgrade, including a Mitel MiVoice Office telephone system, broadband for home workers and a dedicated leased line, plus ongoing support and maintenance.
Daisy project-managed the installation, integrated remote workers’ mobile phones, upgraded Ethernet/ADSL links and provided full staff training and support. The result was significantly improved connection speeds and cloud software performance, better maintenance and software assurance, and noticeable gains in business efficiency; Gavin Stone of the Diocese also highlighted the transparency of costs and the marked improvement from the new hardware supplied by Daisy.
