The Crown Estate - Customer Case Study

The Crown Estate, which manages a diverse UK property portfolio valued at more than £8 billion, faced a cultural and operational challenge moving from around 85,000 paper files to a trusted Electronic Document and Records Management (EDRM) approach. To overcome employee resistance to digital records and speed up access to critical documents like title deeds, The Crown Estate worked with Daisy to deploy the Wisdom EDRM solution.

Daisy implemented Wisdom largely out of the box with minimal customisation, creating a corporate record repository and supporting the organisation’s 20 Year Rule Project to scan and retain required paper records. As a result, title deeds can be accessed in seconds, legal partners access records via the extranet, and the organisation reports quicker market responsiveness, direct savings in legal costs, improved compliance and health & safety, and reduced paper movement across its £8bn portfolio.
