The Church in Wales - Customer Case Study

The Church in Wales, the national Anglican church with six dioceses, more than 1,100 sites and around 800 staff, was burdened by an ageing analogue phone system that limited them to four external lines and regularly generated call charges over £3,000 per quarter. Wanting lower costs and improved call management (call forwarding, usage monitoring, hunt groups), they engaged Daisy to replace the legacy setup with an IP-based cloud-hosted telephony solution using Cisco 504G handsets.

Daisy planned and installed the hosted Cisco solution — carefully placing backbone switches and cabling across the Church’s Victorian HQ buildings — and delivered training and ongoing support. As a result, Daisy reduced call costs to less than 10% of their previous level, halved administration and maintenance costs, cut missed calls from about 30% to under 5%, enabled HD calling and multiple simultaneous external calls, and provided a single point of contact with strong pre- and post-sales service.
