Swizzels Matlow, the long-established confectionery manufacturer with more than 500 employees at its New Mills site, faced the need to replace switchboard hardware and review its entire voice deployment to ensure a resilient, stable communications platform in a challenging historic building. Long-term partner Daisy proposed upgrading the core telephony to Mitel’s MiVoice MX‑ONE 6.0 while retaining the existing DECT and standard handsets to keep operations uninterrupted during the rollout.

Daisy implemented the MiVoice MX‑ONE 6.0 upgrade, maintained DECT handset service throughout deployment, and introduced a Daisy SIP solution over ISDN to reduce costs and increase resilience, delivering a true IP communications platform. The outcome was more consistent service and improved business continuity for staff, plus scope for new features and further rollouts (MiCollab and business mobile), with Daisy credited for increased reliability and lower operating risk.
