Specsavers, an international optical group operating nearly 2,000 joint-venture stores, faced repeated external incidents (power cuts and severe weather) that threatened contact-centre availability and its customer-service reputation. To protect service levels and reassure store directors, Specsavers engaged Daisy for a business continuity solution — specifically workarea recovery with full replication of IT and telecommunications at Daisy’s business continuity centres.

Daisy implemented two managed workarea recovery sites (Nottingham and Hampshire) with replicated systems and ongoing testing and support, enabling rapid relocation of 100–115 staff in Nottingham and 20 staff in Hampshire. Regular tests showed Specsavers could be up and running within an hour, with staff and store directors unaware of any change, delivering a smooth, measurable improvement in operational resilience thanks to Daisy’s managed service.
