Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG), a UK social enterprise with more than 40 centres and almost 800 staff, needed urgent, reliable global communications after its acquisition by ESH Holdings to connect executive teams and dispersed staff across the UK and Australia. PPDG had been considering Microsoft Office Communication Server and engaged Daisy Corporate Services to deploy Microsoft Lync with presence management to support ad hoc and formal meetings.
Daisy Corporate Services implemented Microsoft Lync (presence, IM, audio/video calls, desktop sharing), federated collaboration and a dedicated 24/7 helpdesk, and integrated the solution with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and a call‑centre tool. The Daisy solution is used daily by over 260 key staff, dramatically reduced long‑distance call and travel costs, increased home‑working and cross‑country teamwork, sped decision‑making, and enabled PPDG to roll Lync out for training and inductions.
