Eden Housing Association, which manages around 2,000 homes with 75 staff across a head office in Penrith and eight local offices, needed to improve document handling to boost efficiency and reduce time spent scanning, indexing and retrieving records. Although Eden was already using Daisy’s Wisdom EDRM as a basic document store, staff frustration over slow registration and poor findability prompted them to seek greater automation and better use of the existing system.
Daisy’s Wisdom consultancy team redesigned Eden’s Kofax scanning to enable indexing and registering at point of scan, implemented retention policies, began testing the Wisdom mobile app for field access and deployed the GWIS Lite integration to automate inbound documents (for example, gas certificates). The Wisdom solution is now live across the head office and eight local offices, cutting out extra processing steps, speeding up scanning/indexing and document retrieval, and giving staff greater confidence — outcomes delivered through ongoing collaboration with Daisy.
