Bungay High School - Customer Case Study

Bungay High School, a mixed secondary in Suffolk with about 1,500 students across two sites, was struggling with slow, unreliable internet as bonded ADSL lines couldn't cope with many devices and platforms like Moodle and YouTube. The school engaged Daisy to find a connectivity solution that would support interactive learning, administrative backups and disaster recovery.

Daisy installed a dedicated leased line (initially 30Mbps, upgraded to 100Mbps in 2015), implemented a VPN for secure remote access and provided a fully managed firewall. The 100Mbps leased line delivered noticeably faster, more reliable connectivity, enabled students and staff to access Moodle from home, allowed regular fast backups and paved the way for a full cloud migration; Daisy’s SLAs and services also led Bungay High School to recommend Daisy to its feeder schools and NSSA, connecting four sites into a single learning network.
