A Daisy Group Case Study
The British Museum, custodian of a world‑class collection, needed a modern, highly available hosting platform to keep its collections and related content freely accessible to a global audience. Daisy, which had provided the museum’s managed web platform since 2007, was engaged to refresh outdated hardware and software and guarantee availability for uninterrupted public access.
Daisy implemented a seven‑server hosting platform — two web servers, a search engine server, a highly available database cluster, Active Directory servers, F5 local traffic managers for load balancing, and a content management server — and took over management of the museum’s firewall. Delivered within a strict six‑week deadline, Daisy’s solution ensured rapid access to thousands of images, seamless integration with the online store, resolved technical issues during setup, and provided a fully integrated, highly available environment for the museum.
