ISIC Association launches a digital wallet with Daffodil Software, onboarding 1M+ students

The ISIC Association, a non-profit providing internationally recognized student identity cards, faced the challenge of integrating a compliant digital wallet into its application. The key hurdle was automating the complex Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process in adherence to the Reserve Bank of India's ever-changing guidelines. To overcome this, ISIC partnered with Daffodil Software, which provided fintech solutions and UI/UX design services.

Daffodil Software developed a solution that included two native mobile apps and a backend built with Symfony and PostgreSQL. They integrated several third-party services for card management, forex, and insurance, and created an admin panel to monitor the KYC process. The result was the successful, timely launch of a product that was well-received, onboarding over one million students and facilitating a substantial increase in transactions for users across 130 partner countries.
