Green City Watch, a geospatial AI firm specializing in urban ecological engineering, faced the challenge of helping municipalities monitor and improve their urban forests. They needed to build an AI-based solution to identify trees and calculate vegetation indexes from satellite imagery with high precision. They partnered with Daffodil Software for AI development and computer vision services to address this.

Daffodil Software developed an ensemble of 11 machine learning models to perform object detection on geospatial data, successfully identifying over 90% of trees with a high degree of precision. The solution, built using technologies like TensorFlow and AWS, provided actionable, near real-time insights on tree inventory. The project was a success, mapping over 30 cities and providing Green City Watch with a scalable platform to support their TreeTect™ technology.
