"Life in a S.W.A.T. Team" with Berkeley County Sheriff's Department

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Department's S.W.A.T. team, a part-time unit managing a large and specialized inventory of equipment, faced the challenge of tracking and maintaining gear using outdated and difficult-to-manage spreadsheets. To solve this, Lieutenant Matthew Rephann, the Department Quartermaster, chose to implement the D4H Equipment Management software.

D4H provided a centralized, digital solution for the department to proactively manage equipment inspections, repairs, expiry dates, and service history logs. The vendor's software enabled the methodical input of thousands of items, transforming how the team ensures its gear is ready-to-respond. Lieutenant Rephann is actively using D4H to digitize the entire inventory, having already successfully entered approximately 3,700 items into the system.
