A D4H Case Study
Lincoln County EMA, an emergency management agency for a county of 18 towns, faced significant challenges in communication and coordination during incidents. Using emails and spreadsheets was time-consuming and inefficient, hindering decision-making and public information sharing. The agency turned to D4H and implemented their Incident Management software to overcome these obstacles.
The solution from D4H provided a common operating picture, allowing all towns to share real-time information. This was crucial for coordinating road closures with utility companies and, more recently, for creating a virtual EOC to manage PPE resource requests and staff quarantines during the COVID-19 pandemic. D4H's software saved countless calls and emails, centralizing all necessary information and enabling a far more organized and efficient response. The director stated they couldn't operate without it.
