A D2L Brightspace Case Study
Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), a leading Ecuadorian university with nearly 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students, struggled with inefficient, time-consuming online course creation, inconsistent teaching methodologies across faculty, limited ability to track and measure quality, and challenges meeting accreditation requirements.
USFQ adopted the Brightspace Online and Blended Learning platform and created Master Course templates through cross-functional collaboration, giving instructors flexible, standards-based tools and controlled permissions to personalize content. As a result daily platform use rose to about 60%, course-creation costs and support calls fell, faculty collaboration and efficiency improved, and students benefited from higher-quality, more personalized learning—contributing to stronger accreditation outcomes and notable program performance.
