A D2L Brightspace Case Study
Putnam Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services needed a better way to deliver professional learning remotely and in a hybrid format when the pandemic hit, especially to support more than 1,000 teachers and manage enrollment, assessment, and tracking. The organization turned to D2L Brightspace to replace a set of disconnected tools and create a central platform for its professional development courses.
With D2L Brightspace, Putnam Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services consolidated videos, materials, manuals, and Zoom links in one place, while automated reminders and course progression features improved the user experience and administration. The result was a cleaner, easier-to-use system that enabled a flipped classroom model, simplified updates across 19 fourth-grade cohorts, and removed distance and travel barriers to professional learning across New York and beyond.
