Purdue University system’s Purdue Global needed a modern learning management system to support the vast majority of its 30,000 students who study entirely online. As online learners depended on reliable delivery for their degrees, Purdue Global turned to D2L Brightspace after evaluating major LMS options and looking for a platform better aligned with its mobile and competency-based learning needs.

D2L Brightspace was implemented in staged releases, starting with a small pilot and quickly expanding to larger student groups, while also rolling out the Daylight mobile interface. The deployment went smoothly, with very few support calls, just one brief downtime event in the first year, and full rollout completed in August 2017, five months ahead of schedule.
