Making a seamless shift to virtual customer events

PartsSource, a healthcare technology management company, needed a way to quickly adapt its customer and partner engagement efforts during the COVID-19 crisis. After using D2L Brightspace for external training and community-building, it faced the challenge of moving its annual Partners Symposium from an in-person event to a fully virtual format without adding major new event technology costs.

Working with D2L Brightspace, PartsSource turned the symposium into a Brightspace-based online experience, adding event pages, session courses, announcements, and social interaction. The event was delivered 100% online, ran smoothly, and drew positive feedback from attendees and leadership; it also avoided the cost of a third-party events service and created a reusable model for future meetings, with detailed attendance tracking to inform future training and community growth.
