A D2L Brightspace Case Study
Kennesaw State University faced growing student demand that exposed limits in online course availability and faculty readiness, especially for freshmen bottleneck courses. To address these challenges, the university used D2L Brightspace as its LMS to expand multimodal online learning and support faculty who were new to teaching online.
D2L Brightspace helped KSU redesign 20 key courses for online delivery, launch faculty development workshops, and add microcredentials to encourage participation and skill-building. The results included a 53% increase in online enrollment, a 58% rise in credit hours, a 145% increase in modules created, and more than 1,000 microcredentials awarded, with student tool usage also rising by 14% in one pilot summer.
