A D2L Brightspace Case Study
Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), a Brazilian center of excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with over 70 years of history, needed to unify digital learning across eight schools that were using multiple virtual learning environments and disparate academic systems. The institution faced low and uneven adoption among faculty, a lack of integration with registrar and grading systems, and the challenge of increasing engagement for online and blended learners.
FGV partnered with D2L to deploy Brightspace as a single, integrated platform, with rapid data integration and hands-on training for staff and faculty. The solution was implemented in record time—now supporting 307 courses and about 1,250 users, with 180 teachers and 60 analysts trained in three weeks—improving content production, distribution and engagement, and paving the way to expand the platform to around 12,000 students.
