Gwinnett Online Campus, the online education provider for Gwinnett County Public Schools, faced a sudden surge in demand after the pandemic, with enrollment climbing about 90% and thousands of new students and teachers needing rapid onboarding. To meet this challenge, the campus used D2L Brightspace to build scalable training for both educators and learners.

D2L Brightspace helped Gwinnett Online Campus create self-paced teacher and student onboarding courses that simulated the online classroom, supported personalized guidance, and improved readiness across the district. Since launching in 2021, nearly 190 educators and administrators completed training, about 19,000 new students were onboarded, and the school reported a 94% teacher retention rate and strong teacher satisfaction with professional development.
