Energy Safety Canada Drives Continuous Improvement With D2L Brightspace

Energy Safety Canada, the national safety association for Canada’s energy industry, needed a better way to deliver consistent, flexible safety training while reducing redundant instruction and improving accessibility for workers across the country. In early 2018, the organization selected D2L Brightspace as its learning management system to support its Common Safety Orientation and other training programs.

Using D2L Brightspace, Energy Safety Canada built a blended and online learning experience with SCORM content, surveys, quizzes, proctoring, and custom progress tracking. The results included more than 100,000 energy workers completing the online safety course, improved mobile participation, and ongoing course enhancements driven by Brightspace survey and quiz data through the Kirkpatrick model, helping ESC continually improve accessibility, navigation, and learning outcomes.
